Developed and patented by One Island LLC. Built into every layer of Relay. Trusted by design, not by policy.
The McNeal Protocol is proprietary technology developed and protected under provisional patents filed by One Island LLC. The protocol architecture, key agreement implementation, and spectral encoding system are original works developed independently by One Island.

Most encryption protocols were designed for a world where voice was transmitted as audio. McNeal was designed for a world where voice is never transmitted at all. It protects the intent - the encrypted text capsule - not just the channel it travels over. That's a fundamentally different security model.
McNeal uses X25519 elliptic curve key agreement. Two devices establish a shared secret without ever transmitting it. Nobody in the middle can derive what was agreed upon - mathematically impossible.
Every message is encrypted with ChaCha20-Poly1305 - one of the fastest and most secure encryption ciphers available. Military grade, built into McNeal by default.
McNeal implements a double ratchet mechanism. Every single message gets a fresh encryption key. Past messages stay safe even if future keys are ever compromised. Forward secrecy isn't optional - it's automatic.

Every message, every thread, every attachment

Every encrypted voice capsule

Every node-to-node transmission
We can't read your messages. We can't hear your calls. We can't hand over what we never had access to. McNeal doesn't ask you to trust us — it makes trust irrelevant.
